November 16th 2001, Minneapolis, MN -- UniversalSystems® today announced that the United States Patent Office has issued U.S. Patent 6,285,752, which covers systems and methods embodied in the UniversalSystems® Accelerator and UniversalSystems® Accelerator/ASP. Additional U.S. and international patents are pending.
The UniversalSystems® Accelerator uses a unique two tier organizational structure within the call center to screen calls for right party contacts, and then immediately and seamlessly conferences the confirmed Right Party Contact to the call center's most skilled collections or telemarketing experts. This technology provides productivity gains in excess of 30% for an outbound call center already using a predictive dialer. Additionally, the ASP deployment option of the UniversalSystems® Accelerator allows organizations to use dialers and Operators managed by UniversalSystems® to provide Right Party Contacts and only Right Party Contacts to an organization’s expert agents. The UniversalSystems® Accelerator/ASP solution allows an organization to concentrate on the business of servicing their own customers with their most skilled agents rather than managing technology and worrying about inefficient and inflated staffing requirements, while simultaneously reducing dialing costs.
Blake Rice, CEO and owner of UniversalSystems® commented, “Gaining patent protection is very important to us. We have invested heavily in the development of the UniversalSystems® Accelerator and UniversalSystems® Accelerator/ASP and are very aware of the productivity increase and cost saving potentials of these products. Our customers’ report productivity gains in the 30-100% range together with short Return On Investment timescales, and of course we use the system in our own call centers” Rice continued, “I believe that these products will have a profound effect on the entire dialer industry.”
UniversalSystems® develops, markets, and supports advanced software solutions for call centers. Created in 1995, it has developed the UniversalSystems® Accelerator and the UniversalSystems® Accelerator/ASP from concepts first born at the Bureau of Collection Recovery (BCR), a third-party collection agency.
