September 2, 2003, Minneapolis, MN -- UniversalSystems today announced that the UK Patent office has issued a patent covering methods and systems embodied in the UniversalSystems Accelerator/ASP. A similar patent was issued in the United States in the fall of 2001. The British patent has been issued as United Kingdom patent GB 2 347 583 and extends UniversalSystems patent protection of its methods to the UK.
The UniversalSystems Accelerator/ASP uses a unique two tier organizational structure within the call center to screen calls for right party contacts, and then immediately and seamlessly conference the confirmed Right Party Contact to the call center's most skilled collections or telemarketing experts, providing measurable productivity improvement of 30% -200%. The UniversalSystems Accelerator/ASP enables organizations using operators managed by UniversalSystems to provide Right Party Contacts and only Right Party Contacts to an organization's expert collectors using an existing Avaya Predictive Dialing System or, alternatively, one to which UniversalSystems provides access. The UniversalSystems Accelerator/ASP solution allows an organization to concentrate on the business of servicing their own customers with their most skilled collectors rather than managing technology and worrying about inefficient and inflated staffing requirements, while simultaneously reducing costs.
Blake Rice, CEO and owner of UniversalSystems commented, "We will continue to aggressively file and defend our patents. We have invested heavily in the development of the UniversalSystems Accelerator/ASP and are very aware of the productivity increase and cost saving potential it has for the entire proactive contact industry. We use the service internally within our own call centers, while our customers report substantial productivity gains," Rice continued, "I believe the UniversalSystems Accelerator/ASP will have a profound effect on the entire credit, collection, telemarketing, and dialer industries; list penetration is increased, roll rates are improved saving millions, and net operating costs are immediately reduced--without capital investment."
